At a press conference help on April 29 in Tokyo, it was made official that Morning Musume will perform in Shanghai as part of the public relations efforts aimed at the Shanghai Expo 2010. Leader Takahashi Ai was handed a letter of invitation from Shanghai authorities. Morning Musume is the first Japanese artist to be invited.

The concert will be held at Shanghai Grand Stage on June 28, 2008.

Some rumors have been going around that Yaguchi Mari and former Ultraman Kawabuko Takuji are dating.

At the Japanese fitness event, Minna no Fitness, Yaguchi is asked about it and she’s all giddy and happy and somewhat confirms it.

And according to Josei Seven, Kawabuko was seen earlier this month leaving Yaguchi’s house early in the morning. According to the magazine, the two met at a party last summer. The magazine even took pictures of them together at a seperate occasion.

Both agencies claim that the two are just friends.

So, is this true or not? I can’t say… I too have a guy friend who I am very close to. Everyone thinks we are dating since we’re together all the time, so I can understand how they might just be friends. On the other hand, Mari stated that she would like to get married at 25, but a few weeks ago when she appeared on Hakken (show on Fuji-TV), she said that she still strongly wants to be married but not just yet.

(Have you noticed that I am a big Mari fan and that’s why I’m sympothizing with her and happen to know all the shows she has appeared on? xD)
