C-ute’s Popularity

I know I usually post news and such, but today I feel like talking…
I know I’m not the only person who has noticed that C-ute’s been getting alot of attention lately, and they’re still a relatively new group.
First off, the Rakuten Eagles support song… why did they choose C-ute? Not that its a bad thing, I’m really happy with this single, but, I don’t see why they didn’t choose a more experience group, like Berryz? Or Morning Musume? Just a thought.
Then, theres their newest single, Namida no Iro. Quoting Full Moon who posted “Resonant Blue sounds like a Hello! Project Kids single compared to Namida no Iro… It’s just so awesome!!” in the comments for Namida no Iro PV.
And they’re right. I said “Who’s the Hello!Project flagship now?” and I’m still trying to figure that out. Morning Musume’s been around for soooo long (11 years =O) and they have definatly become less popular (look at the sales from their debut and then now). C-ute is, like I said before, relatively new and in my opinion, their popularity is increasing (especially after Tokaikko Junjou).
Anyway, back on topic, if you watch the Resonant Blue PV (just a dance shot) and then Namida no Iro PV (close ups, dance shot, and plenty of Maimi <3) you’ll notice a huge difference. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Morning Musume is the H!P flagship after all.
Ahhh… my fingers hurt xD

I think they have a lot of attention for the simple reason that they have been very successful, after all they are Best New Artist of 2007 and it’s something H!P have to get something from.
I’m really sad for the decreasing popularity of Morning Musume, but until they make something new many of us are looking to the younger groups, I don’t like Berryz too much, but ºC-ute is what I’m focused right now, specially because I hated Resonant Blue, and I’m still waiting for that new great hit for MM, they are my favorites after all.

Generally, the new groups get the best stuff.
Berryz received two full years of “Better than MM” material, with 10 excellent singles with top-notch PVs and 2.5 albums. They also participated in the special “Ready Go!” single with MM and WaT, while groups with more experience like V-u-den and Melon Kinenbi were left to the side. I think W was still around, too.
C-ute is still relatively fresh, so they’re more easily marketed to a new audience. Hence the additional promotion and the more mainstream style, with casual costumes and such.

Anyway, yea, I totally agree. In terms of popularity now, C-ute seems to be in the lead.
If I was to choose whether to watch Berryz, Momusu, or C-ute live, I’d definitely choose C-ute. They’re just too cute.
Berryz is kind of disappointing me right now. I used to love them, but they’re just kinda falling back.
C-ute for the win!

i think c-ute just deserve to be on the stardom of H!P! they have proven themselves, after being nominated alot of times, especially winning the Best New Artist………mostly, the focus of H!P! as of now, is on the rivalry of berryz and c-ute……..their battle concert is something to be watched out for…..don’t you angry with me?
c-ute will always be my fave group in H!P!
